Hafuursa Hill is found in the Sidaama National, Regional State, Harbagoona Woreda around Yayye town (district town around Harbagoona Woreda 89 and 364 km distance from Hawaasa and Addis Ababa respectively). The area is covered with dense forest and tree species like bamboo and similar highland forests. There are various wild animals such jackals, fox, hyena, and other endemic and common birds are living in the Hafuursa forest. Various species of, insects and butterflies are found in the forest. It is one of the conducive place for Mountain hiking and trekking in this part of the region. It is possible to visit in all seasons of the year But we advise to make your trip on the dry season from early November to late February.
